Eastern Towhee
Pipilo erythrophthalmus 棕肋唧鹀
The Eastern Towhee is a 9‑inch perching bird with striking black, brown, orange, red, tan, and white plumage; males have a black hood and back with rufous sides, while females are brown where males are black. It lives in brushy woodlands, feeds on ground insects and seeds using a unique two‑footed backward hop, and is non‑migratory.
