American Kestrel
Falco sparverius 美洲隼
The American Kestrel, also known as the "Sparrow Hawk," is the smallest and most common falcon in North America. It has a reddish back and tail, contrasting with a white belly, and both sexes have black vertical "sideburns" on the sides of their heads. The bird is approximately 12 inches in size.
